Attend a meeting

We hold monthly meetings to get together to discuss ideas and think about how Billinge and Orrell Transition Group can move forward.

We have two types of meetings, the steering group where we talk about the group and future plans, and the open meetings where we open up for discussion and more. See the Calendar for information on whats coming up over the next few months

What you can do at home!

We understand that for some people they'd rather do what they can at home with their families - with this in mind we've created a list of simple things you can do to have an impact on your local community! Go to the 12 things page

Make a pledge!

We are asking people in Billinge and Orrell to make a pledge to incorporate one or more of the “12 things to do to move towards a low energy lifestyle” action points into their lives over the next 12 months. Go to the Make a Pledge page to find out more

• Organise a screening of ‘The Power of Community’ to pass on the message
• Join a community group to inspire and support each other on your journey to a lower energy lifestyle
• Celebrate! Organise a party to celebrate any achievements on your journey towards a life less dependent on fossil fuels - such as your first crop of home grown vegetables.
